I am a Designated Pilot Examiner (Sport Pilot Examiner, Airplane). As such, I am authorized to administer practical exams for applicants seeking the Sport Pilot rating. I can also issue Student Pilot certificates.
I hold a Light Sport Repairman Maintenance rating (airplane). I am authorized to perform annual condition inspections and 100 hour condition inspections on any airplane in the Experimental Light Sport Airplane (E-LSA), or Special Light Sport Airplane (S-LSA) categories. In addition, I am authorized to perform maintenance and repair on S-LSAs, as allowed by manufacturers of these planes.

I provide flight instruction at Brian Ranch Airport, located in southern California. We are located approximately one hour north of Los Angeles, 20 miles east of the Lancaster/Palmdale area.

Quick Directions to Brian Ranch Airport: Brian Ranch airport is located on Largo Vista Road just north of Highway 138, approximately 20 miles east of Palmdale. From the Los Angeles area, take I-5 north, to Highway 14. Take Highway 14 north, toward Palmdale. Exit on Pearblossom Highway. Go east on Pearblossom Highway to Highway 138. Take Highway 138 east, approximately 20 miles to Largo Vista Road. Turn left (or north) on Largo Vista Road, which is a dirt road. From the Riverside area, take I-15 north to Hwy 138. Proceed west on Highway 138 approximately 15 miles, to Largo Vista Road. Turn right on Largo Vista Road (dirt road).
